Director

Deepa Nallappan, originally from Bangalore, India, is a Bharatanatyam dancer and instructor based in Montreal. Renowned for her dedication, expertise, and graceful approach to the art of dance. Deepa has also received training in Mohiniyattam and Yakshagana. Her remarkable performances at esteemed cultural events, including Chidambaram Natyanjali, Brahan Natyanjali, Natyatharanga, and Nruthya Samagama.

Anjana is a Montreal-based Carnatic violinist. She is very active in the Indo-Canadian musical scene. She performs regularly as a soloist, as part of instrumental groups, and as an accompanist for vocal and dance performances. She has composed and arranged musical pieces for dance performances in Montreal.

Smita Rao has an immense passion for dance and started learning Bharatanatyam as a child at Aruna Kalavidaru, Bangalore for more than 10 years. Being a qualified dentist from India, she had put aside her dreams to focus on career and family. Having met Guru Smt Deepa Nallappan in 2014, who kindly accepted her as her student has brought back to life, her devotion and dedication to the art of Bharatanatyam.

Deeksha Arya

Deeksha is a professional Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam dancer trained under Guru Smt. Nirmala Madhava, Guru Smt. Usha Datar, and Guru Smt. Dhanya Santhosh. She has performed in numerous prestigious occasions across India and in Montreal. A strong believer of sharing art, she was drawn to Natyanjali, Montreal in 2018 and performed a Bharatanatyam solo and collaborative piece in Natyanjali 2019.

Kirthana Palaniswamy

Kirthana being a Bharathanatyam dancer and student of ParamNrithyalaya, has always been part of Natyanjali by volunteering various logistics of the festival. Engineer by Profession, Kirthana continues to be part of Natyanjali every year.

Sibyl Sunitha

Sibyl is a versatile artist in showcasing her flair in Bharatnatyam. Her passion to learn the art form began under the tutelage of Guru. Smt. Sneha Devanandan at a very tender age. She is also training under Guru. Smt. Vijna Vasudevan & Sri. Renjith Babu. 

 

She is currently based out of Montreal, Canada and travels to India to enhance her practice.

This time, we’re teaming up with Natya Collective and Teesri Duniya Theatre.

We’re excited to make this event inclusive by bringing together all Indian classical dance forms for our adavu meetup sessions !

Adithi, a dedicated PhD student specializing in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at McGill University, embarked on her journey of learning Bharathanatyam at the age of 16 and has passionately continued to pursue this classical Indian dance form ever since.


It is with immense pleasure and enthusiasm that we welcome her to our Param des Arts family, where her presence will undoubtedly contribute to creating an even more vibrant, dynamic, and culturally enriched community. We look forward to the invaluable perspectives and artistic talents she brings, which will inspire and elevate our collective experience.
